	Paul Gustave Doré (1832-1883) was een beroemde Franse illustrator, graveur, schilder en beeldhouwer. In het begin maakte hij zelf zijn houtgravures, maar toen zijn succes begon te groeien, kwam zijn latere werk tot stand in samenwerking met andere graveurs, zoals Pannemaker. (Paul Gustave Doré (1832-1883), was a famous French illustrator, engraver, painter and sculptor. At forst he did his own engraving on wood, but as his succes grew, his later work was done in collaboration with other engravers - by example Pannemaker).

Walter Crane 1845-1915. 1e publ. ill. 1897 Engelse schilder (geboren 15 augustus 1845 in Liverpool), illustrator, schrijver en onderwijzer, zoon van the portretschilder en miniaturist Thomas Crane. Hij was vooral bekend als illustrator van kinderboeken en als ontwerper voor Wedgwood-keramiek. In het midden van de jaren 1870 ontwierp hij behang voor Jeffrey & Co en tegels voor Maw and Company. (English painter (born August 15, 1845 Liverpool), illustrator, writer and teacher, son of the portrait painter and miniaturist Thomas Crane. He was well-known as an illustrator of children's books and as a ceramic designer for Wedgwood. By the mid-1870s, he was designing wallpapers for Jeffrey & Co. and tiles for Maw and Company.)
